Ferlach & St.Margareten im Rosental, Austria
Have you ever visited a new place and felt “wow” about it? That has happened to me at Sankt Margarethen in Rosental. It is a small but beautiful upcoming tourist destination that is certainly worth the visit. A market town in Austrian state of Burgenland with enchanting landscape. You will be surprised by some of the unique things to do and places to explore at this hidden destination. I say hidden because there is Leithagebirge (Leitha Mountains) on one side and Stephansee (the lake) on the other. I came here to capture the precious moments of a beautiful Austrian wedding.
Ferlach is a place to which I am always happy to return. It is the southernmost town in Austria with the Alps, lakes and just breathtaking nature… My heart starts racing as soon as we get close to the border crossing. But it is not only nature that captured my heart it’s also the people I met there in the last 10 years since I photographed my first Austrian wedding. I often joke about how they are my additional Austrian family.
Now let me tell you a little something about Marlene&Florian…
A wonderful couple full of positive energy. I have known Marlene for several years now, while Florian I have only recently met. What I could immediately feel between them was that positive vibe, lots of respect and love that really couldn’t be hidden. What a silly saying that is: “A love that couldn’t be hidden”… a love like theirs should not be hidden. It is a kind of love that draws everyone into their circle and you can feel their happiness. Love like that should be celebrated every day. Because there is no greater happiness than when you find a person you can share your life with.
As Marlene wrote in her vows to Florian about their first meeting: “You had me at Hello” I will use her words to only say that both of them had me at Hello, too :).
